Biography

Dr. Ma Tao is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Science & Engineering at Fudan University. He obtained a Ph.D. in Ecology (2005) and a Bachelor's degree in Biology (2000) from Fudan University. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship in theoretical economics, he joined the Department of Environmental Science & Engineering at Fudan University as a Lecturer in 2007 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2011.  

He has led and contributed to numerous research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the National Social Science Fund of China, and other provincial or ministerial-level programs.

Dr. Ma has published over 50 academic papers and authored or co-authored six books. He teaches a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Global Environmental Issues in the Era of Globalization, Environment and Trade, and Ecological Economics.
