Research Work
1. 2003/1_2003/12: As a major researcher, taking part in the NSFC’s project “Atmospheric Nitrous Acid and its Oxidation Capacity of Atmosphere”. My work in this project included measuring the concentration of HONO in atmosphere and analyzing its source.
2. 2002/7-2002/12: Took part in the project “The Design of New Atmospheric Differential Optical Analyzer”. It’s the project of Environmental Protection Science and Technique Foundation of Shanghai. My work concentrated in the whole design of the instrument, optical design, spectrum processing and the programming of the software.
3. 2002/10-2004/9: Project of “Study of the measuring method of the trace gases in atmosphere with Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy”, I am the principal investigator of the this project. It is supported by Fudan university.
4. 3/2000-2002/7: Research the application of optical method in environmental monitoring in Anhui Institute of Optics & Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Project: (1) Designing the Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscope (DOAS) system for the measurement of air pollutants, mainly working on optical design, spectrum analysis, signal processing, software programming, field experiment and the coordination of whole project; (2) Take part in the design of on-line analyzer for SO2 in flue, working on optical design, data analysis and retrieve of concentration; (3) Cooperation with colleagues to establish the substations for monitoring station of Guiling and Beihai, Guangxi Autonomic Region.
It should be mentioned here that the design of DOAS system is “Innovation Project”of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
5. 9/1997-3/2000: As a post-graduate student at Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hefei, China. Measuring the concentration of trace gases in atmosphere.
Project: (1) Designing the solar spectrometer for measuring the concentration of trace gases in atmosphere; (2) Designing the sun tracer; (3) programming part of software to control the device and analyze the data; (4) signal processing and data analysis.
In June 1999, I took part in the “Blue Sky Project” sponsored by Beijing Academy of Environmental Sciences to determine where the pollution source of Beijing comes from.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
1. “China Sky” project, cooperation with IUP of Heidelberg university and Chalmers university, the purpose of this project is to introduce DOAS technique into China.
2. Design and construct the multi-beam DOAS system, cooperation with Dr. Irnen Pundt (IUP of Heidelberg university), this project is to design and construct a multi-beam DOAS for the field experiment of tomograph DOAS.
