Wang Deyao
PERSONAL DETAILS
Wang Deyao was born in Natong, Jiangsu Province in Jan. 1957. He is a professor
of Preventive medicine, supervisor for MS. graduate student and a member of the
Chinese Communist Party.
He assumes the office of Secretary General of environmental science and
engineering department Party Committee. Committee man of the Evaluation
Committee of Academic Degrees.
Pro. Wang graduated from Public Health Department of No. 1 Shanghai Medical
College in August 1968 and received from Normal University of East China a
Master degree in higher education theory.
From Mar. to Oct. 1994 he conducted research as a senior visiting scholar at the
Medical School of L.A. California University and was promoted professor in 1999.
Pro. Wang was once vice director of the Health-promoting Research Center,
director of press, vice president of Periodical Association, deputy director of
Teaching Material Association, member of Senior Positional Title Evaluation
Association at Shanghai Medical University, director of the Publishers
Association of China Universities and the Publishers Association of Shanghai.

Pro. Wang was once deputy president of the Health Management Education

Association in Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, director of Chinese

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
Pro. Wang had published more than 110 papers, edited 9 academic books &
Monographs, directed 3 education movies, instructed more than 10 graduate
students.
Carried out or involved in 14 scientific research projects:
1. Researching on personnel of health system who study abroad playing the roles
and impacting factors when they come back.
2. Researching on health service of Chinese north-west national region.
3. The project under the cooperation of China and American— Primary Health Care
of Shanghai county.
4. Researching on 1995－2000 strategy of health human resource development.
5. Researching on the strategy of status and optimization of human resources in
the system of propagandize, education, health, science and technology.
6. Strengthen strategy reason of young leaders’ political diathesis.
7. Researching on the control of health risk factors and the technology of
health-promoting in specifically public.
Pro. Wang has won 5 prizes of Excellent Scientific Research, and attended more
than 40 international and national academic conferences, published more than 40
papers in corresponding proceedings.
