        Prof. Ruey‐an Doong is Professor and Dean of Nuclear Science, Nation Tsing Hua University. Professor Doong’s research interests lie in environmental nanotechnology, environmental analytical chemistry, and materials chemistry. The major goal of the professor Doong’s research work is to develop cutting‐edge technology for understanding the fundamentals of environmental processes of chemicals at the solid‐liquid interfaces as well as to fabricate the novel (nano)materials with unique physicochemical and catalytic properties for pollution control/remediation, environmental biosensing, and energy conversion and storage applications. In more details, the research interest in the area of environmental nanotechnology mainly focuses on the fabrication and characterization of environmentally benign nanomaterials including zerovalent metals, metal oxides, and one‐dimensional nanotubes for treatment and control of environmental emerging pollutants.
